What is Personal Training?

Personal Training is one to one sessions structured around your goals. Sessions are fun but yet effective as proven by many of my clients you will see results in 6 weeks guaranteed!

A Personal Trainer is a personal Trainer. I support all my clients with:

  • Nutrition and Weight Management
  • Behavioural/Lifestyle Coaching and Support
  • Fun and effective workouts
  • Ongoing Client care and support

To see results all you need is 2 sessions per week with correct nutritional advice and support and the right behavioural/motivation support and coaching you will see results!

Personal Training can be time efficient and cost effective with ½ hr sessions available as well as hourly sessions!

Sports Performance

In order to perform well you need to train properly and specifically to your sport.

Sports Performance Profiling and Periodisation

In order to increase your Sporting Performance we need to first start by profiling and periodisation. You have 3 months to get fit for the next shinty, rugby or football season. Through performance profiling and periodisation we can target and prioritise your weakest areas of the demands of your sport.

Functional Training

Specific conditioning for your sport

The greater the similarity between what you do in training and what you are required to do to perform well in your sport will dictate transfer from training to your performance. This means the more functional training specifically for your sport the BETTER!

Sports require multi-playing movements which we try to repeat or make similar in a gym environment to give you the results you require for your sport.

Posture and Corrective Exercise

  • When performed correctly these exercises can lead to increased performance!
  • Small details can have the greatest impact on performance!

Weight Management

Weight Management is used instead of weight loss, as it takes into account this process of maintaining results once achieved. This is important when you consider 95% of all dieters regain their weight within 1-5 years and that 35% of occasional dieter's progress to pathological dieting. The truth is that all diets work for some people some of the time. If a person follows a calorie restricted diet you will probably lose weight however if habits are not changed, the person will soon revert back to their old ways which caused the weight gain in the first place.

As a Personal Trainer I face clients whose number one goal is to lose weight. The simple fact is whether weight is stable, increasing or decreasing is a result of energy balance - as a consequents of food in and energy out.

The science is relatively simple but it is my role as a Personal Trainer to inspire, motivate and guide you to results!
