We are proud to offer up to date facilities following a £170,000 refurbishment program. This has been made possible by re-investing our profits and contributions from our partners Sportscotland, Oban Common Good Fund, The PF Trusy and Gannochy Trust.
The pools were drained down and regrouted, damaged tiles repaired and the acid cleaned.
The pools are now treated with UV light systems which are the most up to date technology for ensuring the water is clean and safe.
Motorised pool covers have been installed on the poolside to ensure we conserve as much energy as possible reducing our carbon footprint. These covers should reduce oil usage helping combat the increasing cost of oil, our second biggest cost.
The shower area has seen new showers and the area has been relined with a multipanel walled surface giving a high quality finish and appearance.
There has been significant changes made to the air handling system in the wet change, giving a more comfortable pool changing environment.
The spectator area has been fully refurbished with new windows, new stainless steel barrier and carpeting. There are also vending machines giving you access to healthy snacks and drinks.
Pool plant equipment has also been replaced ensuring the safe and continued operation of the pools.
This is stage one in a £240,000 refurbishment programme. Further improvements include improved disabled access and replacement pool plant equipment.
